Closing the nutrient loop.
Our Resources
Everything you need to plan, install, and maintain your Polonite® system
Straightforward guidance for public authorities, engineers, and installers working with decentralized or centralized phosphorus removal systems.

Our solutions
Explore tailored solutions—for homes, large-scale projects, and scientific applications.
From compact systems for rural households to advanced installations for municipal infrastructure and research, our modular technology adapts to every scale and challenge.
How it works
Transforming wastewater treatment into a circular, closed-loop resource system.
Too many processes today still follow a linear path—from cradle to grave—which is unsustainable, especially when it comes to critical and finite resources like phosphorus. Our patented technology supports a shift toward a circular model by using natural minerals to remove phosphorus and other pollutants from water—without chemicals. Once saturated, the filter media becomes a slow-release fertilizer, enabling nutrient recovery and closing the loop between sanitation, clean water, and agriculture.
Benefits
Sustainable
Sustainable and circular. Enables phosphorus recycling through reuse of saturated media as an agricultural fertilizer.
Cost effective
Offers a low total cost of ownership with rapid return on investment.
Chemical-free
Eliminates the need for chemical additives and prevents the generation of excess sludge.
User-friendly
Easily integrated into existing systems with minimal operational complexity and maintenance.
Anti-Corrosive
Contributes to improved durability of infrastructure by reducing chemical aggressiveness in effluents.
Scalable
Adaptable to a wide range of applications—from individual on-site systems to large municipal and industrial facilities.

Case studies
Solving complex problems across all industries
Explore how our Polonite®-based systems deliver real-world impact—from decentralized sanitation to municipal and industrial-scale applications. Each project demonstrates our technology’s adaptability, performance, and environmental benefits.

Scientific research
Enclosure experiment in duckweed-overgrown ponds
Some ponds have become heavily overgrown by lemnids (duckweed; the tiny floating plants of the family Lemnaceae), and the site has also experienced blue-green algae (cyanobacteria) problems in the past. In this enclosure experiment, we assess sediments and overall ecosystem conditions, with a particular focus on how elevated pH can limit carbon dioxide (CO₂) availability in the water and thereby influence biological growth. There are many ponds facing similar challenges, and the results from this study are intended to be transferable to comparable sites.

Municipalities
Large Phosphorus Reduction System (Municipal Wastewater)
This state-of-the-art phosphorus reduction system treats municipal wastewater at flow rates of approximately 150 m³/day. The filter media is performing as designed, consistently producing effluent phosphorus concentrations well below the permitted target, providing stable compliance and operational reliability.

Homeowners
Small Systems for Environmentally Conscious Homeowners
A new, sustainable approach for homeowners who want to reduce their environmental footprint and protect local waters. By capturing phosphorus even from small, decentralized wastewater treatment systems, we help close the nutrient loop and support more circular nutrient management. The system delivers enhanced treatment performance. It is designed for simple, low-maintenance operation and can also be configured for sites with no electricity or limited access.
