WHat we stand for
Polonite Nordic AB exists to ensure access to clean water—free from excess nutrients, heavy metals, and pathogenic microorganisms.
Our core technology, Polonite®, is a sustainable, mineral-based filter media derived from calcium-silicate rock. It enables effective phosphorus removal and recovery from wastewater without chemical dosing, offering a circular and environmentally responsible alternative to conventional treatment methods.
Polonite Nordic AB (Sweden) is the parent company of Ecofiltration Sp. z o.o. (Poland), which is 100% owned by Polonite Nordic and is responsible for production of the Polonite® filter media and international sales outside Scandinavia.

Polonite Nordic is led by a dedicated team of environmental engineers, scientists, and business professionals with deep experience in sustainable water treatment.
We are a spin-off from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, one of Europe’s leading universities in environmental engineering. This academic foundation ensures our work is rooted in science, innovation, and validated field performance.
Our Mission

Where we operate
Polonite Nordic operates across Europe and internationally, with over 15,000 installed systems treating water in both centralized and decentralized contexts. We have active projects in Sweden, Poland, Finland, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Czech Republic, South Africa, and the United States.
Our primary regional focus is around the Baltic Sea, where nutrient discharge and phosphorus overload remain critical environmental concerns. Our solutions treat millions of litres of water daily, helping clients comply with regulations, protect local ecosystems, and recover valuable resources.
Offices and Facilities
We operate key production and logistics infrastructure in Poland for mineral extraction and various locations in Sweden and Central Europe for distribution.
